Not the first time and she knew there is always a healer that could help but this time something unexpected happend…

I didn’t think i’d ever talk about a personal issue on here but it actually kept and still keeps me busy.

For Dragons, it is a place of hatching, a place of discovering the history and origins of their kind… it is a place to learn flight and the art of battle.

Today i want to introduce you all to Uhre.

Uhre consists of 6 Sims in medieval theme and in each sim another race found it’s home.

Over time the races moved from one spot to another also, we are still building.

So let me give you some facts before we go on with the story.

There are : Heart, Quest, Dome, Forge, Song and Reach.

In Heart you gonna find the human village of Kalania, another human based area is going to be in Reach which is called „Breven“.

There you also find a shopping area and a ballroom where the most of our balls and celebrations will be.

In Quest you’ll find the Beasts, the Shadow Realm, the Elven City of Edhel Tal and the Keep of the Knights of Uhre.

In Song you’ll find a home to Elves, Fae and Dwarven mines also to some other mythic creatures.

In Dome there’s the Dragon Tyr’s Palace, Lava Floes, Home of Olaf the Giant, Dragon Lairs, House of Mages, Hall of the Rangers of Uhre.  Fire and brimstone.

We are leaded by the Dragon Tyr of Uhre Rik Sullivan.

The races of Uhre are:

Dragons

all Dragons  are welcome with the exception of robotic or ghost-type avatars.  Within the Dragons of Uhre, ruled by the Tyr, are Dragon Guard (group officers) commanded by the Captain of the Guard,  Rogue Dragons (those who serve no one but themselves), and Dragons of Uhre.  Since Uhre is ‘Dragon Home’ all other races are ‘guests’ in their eyes.  Most Dragons live in peace with the other races, but the whimsical behavior of Dragons may sometimes be challenging for non-dragons.

Humans

Men & Women of Uhre (Also the Group Name) – Humans are humans… but humans can be mages, necromancers, wizards, druids, witches, bards, knights, archers, soldiers, beggars, warriors, priests and priestesses, farmers,  fishermen, hunters, tradespeople, and, yes, ROYALTY and NOBILITY… (those who choose to RP as royalty or nobility are assumed to be VISITING royalty from other realms and hold no royal powers in Uhre.)

Creatures of Uhre (Also the Group Name) – any and all Animal creatures and Beasts (the origin of which are earthly) are welcome either in quadraped or biped form.  Those belonging to this race are generally tagged „Beast“.

Mythics of Uhre (Also the Group Name) – Mythics are welcome in Uhre… The Mythics recognized in Uhre are Elves, Dwarves, Centaurs, Fauns, Fae, Halflings,  Wood Devils, Shapeshifters, Manticors, Gryphons.

Brutes of Uhre (Also the Group Name) – Mythic brutes like Orcs, Goblins, Ogres, Trolls, Hobgoblins, and other mythical monsters.

Drow of Uhre (the Group Name is Qu’ellar Uhre…the place the Drow dwell is called Kil’lyl (the Underdark) so in the tags will be kil’lyl)- Drow, Dark Elves, and Drow Critters who follow Lloth. Ruled by the Drow Matron(Zephora Vaer).

Elders are the admins of uhre. They provide, that the players actually play, behave and also deal with their issues and sorrows.

After this the leader will get in touch with you for a short interview and to clear any contradictions from your character sheet.

The leader will support and guide you through the progress until you are ready to be a part of the desired group.

The leader of your group is responsible for your actions by the time you activate your Uhre tag also the one you should contact when any problems, questions and issues come up.

Uhre is a part of a huge roleplay network sourrounded by many other roleplay sims with a similar theme and when entering another sim the rules of the land you entered matters.

Safe paths, skies and maybe we meet in Uhre.

These places are mostly marked as RP areas and this means as soon as you tp there you are in character (IC). The most RP places starts in a shop or a small safezone area (where no combat is allowed and where you are still out of character (OOC))

There you’ll mostly find the rules, the history of the land and the allowed races. Read the rules and the history it’s important to know who you want to be and what you want to be. You can’t be a robot in medieval age and a dragon in star wars might be out of place as well.

So study the history of this place and think about your character and the story behind it. Please be creative and think of something else but : Demons killed my parents and now i want revenge..ZZZZzzzZZ You will share the same story with a bunch of other people and it’s just getting boring. All RP sims will give you the chance to explore before you can decide if you really want to join. In some you can move freely in others you need to wear an visitor tag which you will likely find in any boxes there. If you never rped before and lightly scared what may happen though wanna take a look around then add the Group: OOC, and activate their Tag. So everyone who  meet you, will know you are OOC and won’t bother you with rp so you get the chance to watch the others without getting involved. But: If you going to an rp sim with an OOC tag as a visitor you are like air and you should behave like air. Don’t disturb their play with any OOC questions and don’t try to play with them when you still wearing the OOC tag. If you have any question, IM a player and ask.

In the most rules you will find things like: No godmodding and no metagaming.Godmodding is already important before you are going to create your character. You can’t be god. You can’t be unbeatable. You can have strengths but like everyone you also have weaknesses. So don’t blast them away with any magical power and when they try to attack you comming up with an everlasting megastrong shield. If you want to use magic it will likely be limitated. Like that your shield only last for 5-10 seconds. The most RP Sims having character sheets, where you need to describe your character and wait for their permission to take part of their rp. So they avoid godmodding and telling you what you still may have to work on.

Metagaming: Knowing things you can’t know. You have no scan and no minimap IC. So you dont know if Rufos Sveers is 10 meters away behind a bush sneaking up to you nor you can know if anyone is behind the mountain because you seen a green dot in the mini map. Also if anyone tells you in IM that this and that happend, your character has no idea until someone else IC tells it your character. So you need to act as if you hear it the first time. You need to be suprised when Rufos jumps out of the bush and you never knew that there was ever anyone behind that mountain. Also you don’t know anyones name before they haven’t introduced themself.Stuff like that are absolutely no gos in rp and takes all the fun.

Combat: Depending on your character and skills you might also want to be involved into combat. For that , there are meters. You’ll find the meter either in their safe zone area or check out their notecard wich meter is needed. There can be Spellfire, DCS and many more. Those meters, you can atteach and above your head will appear a colorful thingy with many numbers. You can pick the color and the race. Depending on the race you are, you will have more or less health. Sure a dragon is stronger than a human is and so the dragon has more health which means it takes longer in combat to kill them. In the most RP areas it’s necessary to wear one when entering the sim. If you don’t want to wear one because you don’t fight speak to the sim owner if this is alright to them. But you should know if you don’t wear any you’ll be unable to fight and heal others. It must be fair. If you are busy for a short time and don’t want to leave the RP Sim activate OOC Tag and deatteach the meter for the short time you are gone.

There are also some Rpers who like to explore and also try to rp in a sim where it’s up to the people if they want to rp or not. Means non rper and rper meets and there no meter is needed so it’s not always clear if the other one rps now or not.

Mostly you recognize if someone rps in the way that they describe their actions like:

Fricky looks up to you and nods lightly as you passes her.

The most OOC people wouldn’t talk like this and if you are still not sure you can be when they are using things which aren’t there like:

Fricky plays with a smal sharp knife in her hand before she throws it with all her energy into a near tree, grinning as it keeps stuck.

To use things which aren’t there is a sign that someone rps. If you still aren’t sure im that person and ask if this is rp or not.

Also, never decide for the other ones person. You play with them never against them.  Example how you shouldn’t do it:

Fricky knocks him down when he comes too close and laughs as he lays on the ground bleeding.

Let the other one decide if he actually wanna get knock down or not. Like:

Fricky doesn’t trust him as he came too close and fears an attack so she tries to knock him down.

Now he can decide if my fist ever reaches him or if he can block it. And you can always do the same. So far for now:

Make clear in non rp sims if this is an rp situation or not when you are uncertain.

Never decide what happens to the other ones body!!

Even if the other one is an rival, never forget it’s only a game. His character is only a character.What he does to you in character must not mean he is like this out of character. So respect each other and try to avoid confusion.

If you decide you use another name IC than you actually have, there is an RP tool that allows you to speak in a channel with another name. It’s helpful when you also write that name in your meter so the others will know you playing another character. This tool allows you also to speak OOC in the local chat. So if you need to tell them something that has nothing to do with your Character you can do this with your tool. If you don’t have a tool, you can use (( )) like

Describe your actions as good as you can. It helps the imagination. It’s like writing a book. Let the others always know if you are OOC or IC because it seems this caused troubles in the past when some thought it’s serious when it wasn’t. If you plan to seduce a maiden or knight IC make sure they know it’s only IC so you won’t leave them in sadness as they realizing you aren’t serious.

Well sex means to me sharing something special with a person i love and respect. In SL the same as in RL.

But i also think that many people are just comming into sl for sex. As a Mentor on Orientation island was this the 2nd most asked question after the „Ho do i earn money?“ one.
I told them to use the the search and how to use it and if they really didn’t managed it, i just brought them to a random place ready to rp off again. And really i must say they are really sneaky going like: awww i don’t know what to do..can you help me?

I mean this is just…wow…
Also that the most there looking still like newbies though they are there for a good while already. Which shows clearly what they are there for.
But there are also the womanizer or the romantic guys who try to seduce the ladys with kind and gentle conversations.
You find every kind of person in SL. And love is like sex a big topic even with the newbies. I think they should be clear with one  another and if both wants the same no matter how wierd it might be…go ahead.

Dream of romance
Anyone ever noticed that newbies mostly stuck at the ballrooms first after they found better skin, shapes and clothes?
That they mostly seem to care for a romance thing and just trying to do other stuff after they got partnered and hurted?

I wonder why the romantic aspect in sl seems to be so important for exspecially the newbies. I tend to ask them now when they ask me things what inspired them to join SL at all.

And does anyone ever noticed that more often men seems to leave SL after a failed realtionship while women going on, try to forget and start over new?

It seems to me that  some man mostly seen the whole thing as a something that should be fun and if this isn’t fun anymore they throw it away looking for new fun or leave it all behind forever. Do they think that only because it’s SL no problems with ever showing up? Or that they doesn’t need to work on the relationship that much like you would need to in rl?

I wish i could ask one of them why they did that but sadly they are all gone.

Communication, sharing, caring but the only thing which is missing, is the actual touch. The touch when hugging, the smile when joking, the tears when sad. Though it doesn’t keep us from loving one another. No matter if it happens as a friend or a lover. If we feel for them like a sister, a brother or maybe even as a parent. Though the RL impressions are missing we have the great ability to imagine. To imagine a world how we would love to live it.

To build things we always dreamed of or just try things out of curiousity.

And we meet other people which becoming our friends. With whom we share laughter and sadness which isn’t virtuell. We share secrets me maybe never would have tell anyone else in rl. We sit together and enjoy the virtuell sunset at the beach but somehow we feel the warm of the sun and the light breeze of the air messing with our hair and caress our face.  And we feel happy with the other one and every time we spend with this person gives us a smile on our face. All virtuell?

We leaving and shutting down the computer but the minds still stuck with the sunset. Replay the funny jokes in our mind which makes us smile until the next time we gonna turn the computer on and log into SL.

And the heart beats faster when the name pops up, saying the word: online.To be sad if the person maybe doesn’t show up though we waited all day. And one day to realize that you miss someone. Someone special.No matter if the computer is turned on or off. Every conversation like a reward for the long time we’ve waited. Heart burns, blushing, being jealous when this person flirts maybe with someone else. Uh..virtuell? Fall for…pixels? But i am more than pixels too…i have a body ..i have a soul..there’s blood running through my venes so i must be real.As real as anything can be. What about the other person? Well..it’s just a game ..let’s give it a shot..

Never felt the heart beating faster and never missed touching more than now as we jump on a stupid poseball for the first time to kiss. So virtuell…

As i check the E-Mail i find a proposal. Wow..Of course i want. And proudly we looking at each others names in the profile wish the whole world knew about the luck we have. But what it means to be partnered in SL? Isn’t it just virtuell? But why ..it feels so real? Why i feel happiness and love? Why the persons words can turn my world upside down?

Why feels something real thats virtuell?

And must we act different in SL than we would in RL? So tempting to test the lovers loyalty with an alt. So easy to cheat when wanted and so easly to run off without looking back when feeling like it. So easy to get rid of everything when it’s getting too much..

But aren’t we have blood running through our venes ? And doesn’t the other one has blood that runs through their venes as well? And actually every pixel creature no matter in which shape or form is guided by someone with true blood which is running through their venes? So if things hurting me…could it be that the others , my partners, my friends and all the people i meet inworld feeling probably the same?  Wouldn’t it hurt me if my partner doesn’t trust me and test me with an alt? Wouln’t it hurt to know that the person i shared so many secrets and feelings would cheat on me? Wouldn’t it hurt to get left behind without any word?  Wouldn’t we want to be respected? To be loved? To be trusted? If we want that, shouldn’t we treat the other person like we want to be treated?

So, Is it real…or just a dream..?

I mostly spend my time in Uhre, my first roleplay place or at my home.

Our little quarter Sim paradies where Nearon and i finally got the chance to build our little forest. Also we have a nice beach and the best sunset ever.

Well , i must admit i got a little lazy lately with exploring in SL since the lag drives me nuts and even though everything is on lowest settings im moving like in water and add on, everything looks like crap.

So if i find motivation to visit a place i tend to run and run and run…and damn end up right there where i started…

Other than that im still with Nearon for uhhh 13 months now and yes we still aren’t married yet and i doubt it will ever happen. As we all know, a marriage in SL is a nice event but nothing that would really mean something.The most i seen marry, broke up within the next few months. So we are happy with what we have.

Im also happy that i had the chance to meet him in RL. And that we got pretty good along with each other. Well…very good.

So, i’m still very happy. I have no dramas. And yes, so boring.

Now i had another idea that’s might be a blog entry worth regarding marriage in SL.

I will write on that later.
